Battle for the Bosporus: The Balkans and the Strait

The game's first Country Pack, and still one of the best thought out: Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey arrive with focus trees that deliberately step on each other, because in real history their foreign policy choices were just as tangled up.

What New Content It Adds

Like the rest of the Country Packs, it doesn't bring new system mechanics — the weight is entirely in nation content, split across three countries that shape each other.

Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey each get trees with several alignment paths, and it's no accident they share a pack: what one nation does directly shapes the other two's options, so playing them in isolation feels different from playing them knowing how they interlock. The pack also adds unit models specific to the Balkan region.

Why it matters: Turkey controls the Bosphorus strait, one of the most contested naval routes in the game for anyone with interests in the Mediterranean or Black Sea. Playing it well can shape an entire USSR or Italy campaign.

Is It Worth It?

If you play Mediterranean or Black Sea powers often, it's worth knowing what Turkey or Bulgaria can do on their own, pack or no pack. To play them yourself, it's a focused purchase that delivers if the region interests you.
