Arms Against Tyranny brings the focus to the Nordic countries and, more importantly, introduces two mechanics that change how any nation manages its military industry and its arms exports.
Nations and Content
Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland get their own focus trees with real depth, something that before this DLC was almost empty territory on the map.
New Mechanics
Military Industrial Organizations (MIO) group your equipment manufacturers into consortiums that improve with use, giving specific bonuses depending on what type of equipment they produce most. The International Arms Market lets you buy and sell equipment to other countries far more directly than the old licensing system, turning arms trade into a real source of income or diplomatic support.
Is It Worth Buying?
MIOs and the arms market are system mechanics that affect any game with even a minimally developed industry, so the value goes well beyond the five Nordic countries. If you already have La Résistance or No Step Back and enjoy economic management, this is a natural add-on.
